The Sensory Booth offers personalised tuition for home-educating families, online or face to face at my teaching cabin. I work at each child’s pace, creating calm, supportive sessions that build confidence, enjoyment and trust in learning.
I know that home education looks different for every family, so sessions are flexible and tailored to the individual. Some children need structured academic support in reading, writing or maths, while others benefit from a gentler approach that focuses first on engagement, confidence, emotional regulation and feeling successful again. I can support both.
My teaching style is calm, relational and encouraging. I break learning into small, manageable steps and adapt sessions to suit your child’s needs, interests and energy levels. That might include visual supports, practical activities, movement breaks, sensory-aware strategies or simply allowing more time and less pressure. The aim is always to help children feel safe enough to learn and positive enough to keep going.
I support children who are thriving in home education as well as those who have found school difficult, including children with SEND, anxiety or gaps in confidence. Sessions can be used for academic progress, routine and structure, re-engagement with learning, or as part of a wider personalised home-ed approach.
