Debates Club is a safe space for children to share the ideas and opinions on world and moral issues. 

Hello, I’m Amy, I am a qualified teacher who taught in schools for 16 years before becoming a tutor.  I’m a lead examiner and a passionate supporter of home education. I also home educated my own four children.

 I run all GCSE courses myself, drawing on over 18 years of teaching and lead examining experience. I keep sessions small and personal so that every student gets the support and guidance they need to feel confident.

I specialise in GCSE Philosophy & Ethics, Psychology, and Sociology, with a focus on helping students strengthen their critical thinking and develop a real understanding of each subject.

Alongside academic tutoring, I also host weekly debate clubs. These give students the chance to discuss moral, social, and ethical issues in a safe, welcoming space. It’s a chance to share ideas, listen to different perspectives, and build confidence in expressing themselves.

What I enjoy most is seeing how these conversations often continue beyond our sessions—sparking curiosity, thoughtful discussions with friends and family, and a genuine love of learning that lasts well beyond exams.
