- Film Literacy (10 – 14)
Film Literacy is all about learning to read films, just as you would a book. This 6 week online course teaches children about the basics of Film Literacy, with each week dedicated to a different component. Film Literacy provides young people with a variety of transferable skills including critical thinking, emotional awareness and communication skills. In these sessions, children learn how to explore film from a critical perspective using film terminology. As part of the course, each child is provided with their own bespoke work pack which tailors the content to their own film interests. Each session is 1 hour long.
- GCSE and A-Level Film Studies Tuition (14 – 18)
For those who want to take things further, I offer online GCSE and A-Level Film Studies tuition. Tuition for both qualifications is carried out following the WJEC Eduqas syllabus. Each session is 1 hour long. Please note: THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE GAINING THE QUALIFICATION AS I AM NOT CURRENTLY AUTHENTICATED TO OVERSEE AND MARK COURSEWORK.
- Film Club For Adults (18+)
In these sessions, adults have the opportunity to learn more about various genres of film and discuss them in seminar style classes. To avoid copyright issues, it is expected that participants watch the films in their own time. Please contact me to find out which courses I am currently running. Each session is 1 hour 30 minutes long. The first 45 minutes acts as an introduction to each week’s topic, whilst the second 45 minutes provides time for discussion via the use of seminar style questions.
