I'm Sophie, a mum, a qualified primary teacher, and the person behind Porth Learning. After 13 years in the classroom, I wanted to bring the same calm, relationship-first approach to families learning outside the traditional school system, real connection with each child, not rushing through content just to tick boxes.
Phonics and early reading are where my heart really is, but I love the creative side of learning just as much, my Fine Art degree sneaks into sessions more often than you'd expect.
Outside of tutoring, you'll usually find me juggling my own two small ones, which is exactly why I understand how precious a calm, well-supported learning space is for a busy family.
