I’m Jo, and I run Arts Instruct, an online art membership created for home-educated upper-primary and secondary-age learners (typically ages 11–14).

Hi, I’m Jo - a PGCE-qualified UK art teacher and the creator of Arts Instruct.
I work with home-educated children aged 11–14, helping them build confidence in art and develop real skills, without pressure, perfection or feeling like they’re “doing it wrong”.
Over the years, I’ve seen the same thing again and again: children who enjoy art but get stuck, frustrated, or lose confidence simply because they don’t know where to start - and parents who want to support them, but don’t want to turn art into a stressful subject.
That’s exactly why I created Arts Instruct.
My lessons guide students step by step, breaking skills down in a clear, encouraging way so they can work independently, feel successful, and actually enjoy the process of creating.
