This September, I’ll be launching Unearthing the Past: a live online archaeology course for home educated students aged 11+. 🏺
Before becoming a teacher, I studied archaeology to Master’s level and later taught GCSE Archaeology. Although the GCSE is no longer available, my love for the subject has never disappeared, and I’m so excited to bring it back for home educating families.
This isn’t an exam course. Instead, it’s a chance for young people to experience archaeology as it should be: asking questions, investigating evidence and uncovering the stories of people who lived thousands of years ago.
What to expect:
🔎 Weekly live online sessions (90 minutes)
📖 A year-long journey through archaeology
🏺 Learn how archaeologists investigate the past using artefacts, landscapes and evidence
💬 Small, discussion-based group with a maximum of 8 students
📂 Digital Young Archaeologist Field Notebook and investigation activities included

When: Monday or Wednesday (day to be confirmed based on interest), 1:45pm to 3:15pm

Cost: £50 per month

I’m currently putting together the Founding Cohort, so if this sounds like something your child would enjoy, I’d love to hear from you.
