🎭 🎤🗯️📚🎬 Home Educated students only with LAMDA with Janine!
Sometimes when thinking about Home Education classes, we often think of all the academic lessons our children need but forget about communication, creativity and fun!
After all, what’s the point in having all this knowledge inside you, if you then haven’t got the skills to stand up and vocalise what you know?
This is where I come in with LAMDA lessons!
LAMDA stands for the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art!
I’m a speech and Drama teacher based in the UK and have worked at state & private schools & multiple home education hubs & meet ups such as Camp Mohawk. I have over 20 years experience of teaching Speech and Drama and LAMDA.
I tutor children online in the following disciplines:
🎬🎭- Acting (monologues/character work and performance
🎤🗯️- Public speaking (writing and delivering speeches on a variety of topics and personal interests)
📚📖 – Verse and prose (reciting poetry and extracts from prose, discussing stories and character – aligns nicely with English curriculums)
The wonderful thing about LAMDA lessons and examinations is that not only does it help children develop an incredible skill set, but the exams are also Ofqual accredited. The LAMDA-accredited examinations at Level 3 or above are recognised within the UCAS Tariff system, so can be incredibly rewarding and beneficial for Home Educated children.
All my current home Ed classes are during the daytime, via zoom and are currently 1:1 classes.
Weekly 1:1 30 min classes are £22
(younger siblings aged 5-9 can also share classes and have 15 minutes each).
The classes are catered to the individual and there isn’t a “one size fits all class” because I pick different monologues/readings for each child to fit their ability, rather than a mass group where everyone has to learn the same thing.
I focus on the STAGE I think they’re at, rather than their AGE.
When ready, your child can take their examination online via zoom, or there are exam centres up and down the country so you can take an exam in person, at a centre near you.
Last few slots remain for online lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays.
