Iโ€™m excited to be offering a brand new 3-week minibeasts programme with LIVE animals for home educated children at Great Wood Community Hall.

๐Ÿ• When: Thursdays, 1:00โ€“2:30pm
๐Ÿ“… Dates: 29th January, 5th February & 12th February
๐Ÿ’ท Cost: ยฃ10 per child, per session (1.5 hours)
๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿง’ Ages: Suitable for all primary-aged children

Across the three weeks, children will explore minibeasts while covering key National Curriculum science topics, including habitats, life cycles, growth, survival systems, and food chains โ€” all through fun, hands-on, highly interactive activities supported by live minibeasts.

๐Ÿฆ— Live minibeasts are used throughout the sessions, giving children the chance to observe (and, if they wish, gently interact with) real invertebrates in a safe, supportive environment.

๐Ÿ—“ Weekly themes:

๐ŸŒฟ 29th January โ€“ Habitats
Exploring habitats such as rainforests, deserts, and temperate environments, and how minibeasts are adapted to live there.

๐Ÿฆ‹ 5th February โ€“ Life Cycles & Growth
Learning about the life cycles of various invertebrates, how they grow, and how they change over time.

๐Ÿฝ 12th February โ€“ Food Chains
Discovering minibeast food chains, including carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores, and how everything fits together.

๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘ง Grown-ups must attend, but will not be forced to participate!
