Hi, I’m Jo – the creator of Arts Instruct.
I offer fun, structured online art courses for children aged 10+ to 14. These are made especially for home-educated learners.
I’m an experienced art teacher. I know how hard it can be to plan creative lessons at home. That’s where I come in. I’ll take care of the planning, so you don’t have to.
What makes Arts Instruct different?
My lessons aren’t just random projects. Each one is designed to teach key art skills like line, tone, shape, and texture. Every project links to an artist, a style, or a movement. Your child will learn to draw, paint, sculpt, and explore textiles too.
They’ll also learn to think like artists—curious, confident, and creative.
How it works
Each project is broken into short demo videos.
You can do them anytime that suits you.
Projects take around 2+ hours and can be split over a few sessions.
Each one includes at least 5 bonus activities, so you’ll have art sorted for the whole month.
You also get printable guides, success checklists, and reflection sheets.
And that’s not all.
Your child can share their work in our online gallery. I also offer optional, personalised feedback to help them grow.
It’s more than just craft.
Many online art classes stop at fun, quick projects. Arts Instruct goes deeper. Your child won’t just copy steps—they’ll explore ideas and learn how to express themselves through art.
What parents love
Parents tell me they feel a huge sense of relief. They know their child is getting high-quality teaching without the stress of planning it all themselves.
I believe every child is creative.
Not everyone is amazing at drawing—and that’s okay. Creativity is about confidence, imagination, and resilience. That’s what I teach.
Let me support your home ed journey.
Join Arts Instruct today and give your child the chance to shine through art.
P.S. I also offer 1-to-1 support for GCSE and A Level Art students. If your teen needs help in their exam years, get in touch!
Purchase Individually or Join the Membership
You can buy any project individually — perfect if you’re interested in a particular theme or skill.
But if you’re planning to try more than one, the Arts Instruct Membership is by far the most cost-effective option. As part of the membership I will also be offering group support to supplement the lesson content.
